Community Employment Program:
A community based vocational program that provides job placement for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment who desire competitive work in a community setting. Individualized job development coupled with intensive on-the-job training ensures successful job matches. In addition, employers receive awareness training and other support services to foster a positive work environment and employment outcome.
Supported Employment:
A comprehensive community based vocational program that emphasizes a holistic approach to job placement and retention. It is most beneficial to individuals with severe disabilities that require long term support. It includes an extensive functional assessment to determine vocational assets and interests followed by individualized job preparation assistance to include application development, interview training and other pre-employment skills instruction. Customized job placement, extended one-on-one training and support services complete the program.

Custodial Training -I 94 Rest Areas:
The Department of Transportation contracts with Opportunities, Inc. to maintain the Eastbound and Westbound public rest areas on Interstate 94. The Rest Area Program provides structured custodial training lead by a team of supervisors with backgrounds in commercial cleaning and understanding in working with persons with disabilities. It offers work experience and training options for individuals with barriers to employment.
