Center – Based Employment Program:
An onsite structured work environment that offers individuals the opportunity attain manufacturing skills while developing strong work ethic to prepare for competitive employment. Job options range from packaging to automated assembly assignments. The work performed is subcontracted from local and nation-wide companies with wages based on each individual’s production level (piece-rate) related to the commensurate wage in the community. Through the Consumer Advancement Initiative consumers are cross-trained on a variety of projects to enhance abilities and job satisfaction.
Work Adjustment Training Program:
The Work Adjustment Training program is designed to provide individualized vocational training to consumers who have had difficulty obtaining and maintaining long-term employment, have questions about their stamina/tolerance for work, question their ability to maintain sobriety and/or need a recent work history and reference. The program is generally funded by the state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
