Comprehensive training and employment program that provides support and work skills training for people regardless of ability or circumstance to gain employment and independence. Through OI Works, a person can receive a wide array of services that positively enhance progress towards a successful career.
Key collaborations are developing with local organizations, such as Community Action Coalition, St. Vincent de Paul, Jefferson County Human Services and others, to engage those individuals who may have given up on finding a job, but just need a second chance at success. The OI Works program has two value added components that are unique to its design, and key to its success:
- Opportunities, Inc.'s state of the art training facilities where motivated job seekers who need to expand work history, and stamina, can develop and advance their skills in a supportive environment.
- Participants may qualify for temporary housing through the Home Opportunities program, another agency sponsored service that offers the participants rent assistance and clean, safe living arrangements while saving funds and gaining a housing reference.
