Loeb-Lorman Metals, Inc. has not only been great neighbors to Opportunities, Inc., but they have built a strong partnership over the years in supporting the agency’s mission to provide services for people with barriers to employment in our community.
The collaboration between Loeb-Lorman Metals, Inc. and Opportunities, Inc.’s Rest Area Custodial Training Program continues to be a success in their annual “We CAN Make a Difference” aluminum can drive. The can drive generates funds for the agency’s training and advancement program called OiWorks. This program provides critical training and job placement for those who have difficulty finding and maintaining jobs in the community due to disability, language challenges, poor work history, and military service, past incarceration, recent college graduation, and substance abuse.
The Rest Area Custodial Training Program is contracted with Rehabilitation for Wisconsin to maintain the 94 Eastbound and Westbound public rest areas, while offering structured custodial training and work experience for individuals with barriers to employment.
Both rest area sites accept aluminum can donations and each year Loeb-Lorman Metals, Inc. graciously provides the collection and recycling services for the program. They also match the funds obtained.
This thriving partnership continues to enhance innovative opportunities for the community!
